Paws on Pearl announces partnership with Restorative Justice Institute of Oklahoma and local animal activist group.

Paws on Pearl, along with a local animal activist group is working together with the Restorative Justice Institute of Oklahoma (RJIOK) to create an independent review panel (IRP) to monitor practices and procedures under the guidance of animal welfare professionals and existing clients

Paws on Pearl recently met with the activist group and Tamara Lebak, founder of (RJIOK). With a transformative mediation-process supported by (RJIOK), they were able to speak and share their experiences, realizing that they share more in common than not, while agreeing to work together for the care of the animals and pet owners alike.

As part of this collaboration, Paws on Pearl has agreed to help create and work with an independent review panel. This panel will work together in a positive light to help create and monitor the best kennel standards and practices. The panel will consist of kennel and rescue experts; business specialists; and clients of Paws on Pearl. With support from the RJIOK, they will cover areas such as: best practices, animal to handler ratio, training, and monitoring the facility for agreed upon changes.

We continue to implement changes at Paws on Pearl as part of our pledge to increase transparency and communications to our clients and to the community. If you have any questions or would like more information about this effort, please feel free to contact:
